PARTS: Wheel to Wheel:
Bore and hone factory 351
Cleveland engine block with torque plate +.030”.
Clearance block for stroker
crankshaft.
Install main studs for added
strength.
Align hone main saddles.
Install new cam bearings.
Mask and paint engine block.
Send crank out for nitride
gas treating.
Balance rotating assembly.
File fit piston rings to
spec each cylinder.
Set all gaps and clearances
to high performance street / race specifications.
Install and degree camshaft.
Assemble short block.
Zinc plate oil pan for corrosion
resistance.
Order Blue Thunder Aluminum
Heads from A.T. Francis.
Drill cooling holes in heads
for proper water circulation.
Polish chambers and bowls
for increase air flow.
Mill heads .060 to raise
compression to 10.5:1.
Perform Performance valve
job including back-angle cut on intake valves.
Install valve springs to
spec.
Set all cylinder head clearances.
Install head studs.
Install cylinder heads on
engine.
Fabricate intake manifold
spacers from 6061-T6 aluminum to mount intake correctly with
Blue Thunder heads.
Port spacers to match heads
and Edelbrock dual plane manifold.
Port match Ford Motorsport
Yates style single plane intake manifold for A / B intake power
comparison.
